I have been designing since 2008, which covers a telecoms brand, leading design at a startup, five years running my own practice in Berlin, and three years at On making everything that happens after the order less painful. Somewhere in the last few years I started building the things I had spent most of that time specifying, and it changed the work more than any tool ever had.

Most of what I make now sits between the two. Design systems that are also code. Plugins that fix a problem I hit in a file that morning. Extensions, games, small tools, a lot of them unfinished on purpose.

I run, which is where the structure of this site comes from. A log is judged on cadence rather than on any single entry, and that is a kinder and more accurate way to look at a decade of work than a highlight reel.
